Adjectives

Overview

The students in Cycle 2, Year 2 are learning the basics of writing. I conducted a lesson with the Grade 4 students on adjectives. As a class, we learned about adjectives, came up with examples, which I wrote on the whiteboard. This was followed by a group activity where students were to insert adjectives into paragraphs to produce a funny story. Students loved this cooperative learning activity, as they were able to think about adjectives and create a humorous story with their classmates.  This lesson ended by having students work individually on an adjective package that I had created. I value giving students opportunities to work together as well as individually to cater to different learning styles.
