During my third field experience, I had the privilege of working alongside experienced Lester B. Pearson (LBP) teachers and the English & French LBP consultant. I attended the first two working sessions with these experienced professionals to create resources and documents for teachers teaching International students. We spent two full days gathering and creating interactive games and resources for teachers to have on hand for International students. There are two scheduled working sessions to complete the project to have it launched by April. Due to my schedule at McGill, I will not be able to attend the one in January; however, I am planning to be at the final meeting to finish off the project I started with these teachers!
It was an absolute privilege to be given this opportunity to collaborate and learn from experienced teachers. This has given me a chance to see another side of how educators work within school boards. It was an amazing experience to be a part of and start my professional development so early in my career.
