Technology should be used as an educational tool to enhance or assist learning. A variety of ways can be used to include technology in the classroom as well as assist student learning through various applications and websites.
I believe that integrating technology the right way can help students with their learning, particularly students with learning disabilities.
Since technology is always changing, I plan on staying up to date with research on how to effectively integrate it into my classroom. I will continue to ask experienced teachers and attend workshops on assistive and educational technology.

I feel that media and technology are both topics and tools that should be integrated in education. There is an abundance of technological tools, websites, and applications available not only for teachers but also for students and parents. If these technologies are used properly, they can be a great addition as a way to enhance and facilitate learning as well as engage students. Technological tools, such as an electronic dictionary and electronic reader, can also be extremely useful when working with children with learning disabilities. With our technology and media-driven society, teachers need to carefully monitor their use in the classroom. Also, I believe that children need to be educated and made aware of the influences that the media have over people. Media can produce many issues in children’s and adolescents’ lives and can affect their mental health. Social media can especially be harmful and damaging if children are not being taught to challenge what they see on social media platforms. We must also teach about digital citizenship. It is up to the adults in children’s lives to discuss the influence that media has on our society.
